There will be lots of organized events and fun street parties celebrating the Platinum Jubilee across the UK and all around the world.

Here are some fun facts:

  • Queen Elizabeth II was born 21st April, 1926
  • She was crowned Queen 2nd June, 1953
  • She loves her pet corgis and has a passion for horses too
  • Most of the year, she lives in the private quarters of Buckingham Palace in London
  • She has seven UK residences, including Windsor Castle,  Balmoral Castle and Sandringham Estate
  • When she reached 18, she was presented with a corgi named Susan. It is thought that all her corgis are descendants of her pet Susan.
