Facts for The Year of the Snake 2025
With its unique characteristics, the Snake is one of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Previous Years of the Snake include 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, and 1977.
Individuals born in the Year of the Snake are revered for intelligence, thoughtfulness, and wisdom. They possess a unique ability to solve complex problems and excel in analytical thinking. Lucky colors for those born in the Year of the Snake include black, red, and yellow.
According to Chinese astrology, those born in the Year of the Snake find their best matches in the Rooster and the Ox, fostering strong and harmonious relationships. Snakes are often seen as symbols of good luck and prosperity. They are believed to protect against misfortune and evil.
Snakes are often considered good at communication but say little. They are supposed to have a good sense of humor and are usually seen as good financial managers.
Each Chinese zodiac year is associated with one of the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. In 2025, the Snake will be related to the wood element, representing growth and vitality.

Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar.

In addition to China, countries such as Vietnam (where it’s called Tết), Korea (Seollal), Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines also celebrate the Lunar New Year.
